I’m sure you’ve heard of the MySpace Instant Messenger. It’s been out for a while but they’ve only recently began promoting it and are claiming that the program already has 19 million users. Kind of hard to believe, but possible given the amount of MySpace users. It could catch up to AIM in time (63 million users according to mashable.com), but the loyalty aim has is very high since it’s been around for a much longer period of time.
It does offer some good promotion tools so it would make sense for any marketer to make use of it. One very important aspect being the ability to connect users that are currently online. If you have 1000 friends, the time lapse in conversations between logins can hinder the development of personal relationships with your friends, but using this tool, you could message users when they are online and talk to them in real time.
If you’re interested in getting it, you can download in the MySpace website here.
