Facebook Messaging Tactic

If you’re needing to message all of your friends on Facebook, doing it manually is likely to take a lot of your time and get you deleted! Facebook is extremely strict about promoting on their network so you need to find creative and efficient ways around things to get your word out using their tools. I’ve created a past blog about limits you should take when promoting on the Facebook website here.

The best way to message all of your friends on Facebook is the “through-event” tactic explained here:

  1. Create a fake event under your profile. The information doesn’t really matter much, but it’s best to create something most people won’t deny so you have a longer period to message them, like a birthday party that’s months away. The picture of the event should be a photo of a person, most likely your own profile picture for best penetration. (This is realy important) Using an attractive, but BELIEVABLE photo could also help. (half-naked model girls will not work and could destroy your reputation)
  2. Once the event is created, you need to invite all your friends to it. The maximum pending invitations is around 100 so if you have more than 100 friends, you’ll have to send out multiple sets of 100.
  3. After you invite your friends view your event page and click on “Message All Guests,” located directly under the event photo.
  4. Compose your message and make sure Attendees is set to “all.” This will message everyone that was invited to the event EXCEPT people that are not coming. That’s why it’s good to create an event for which the date is further away so people do not deny it just yet and you can keep sending them messages if you need to.

Remember, people hate seeing the same message twice and don’t spam them! This is just a useful way to mass message all your friends and promote something relevant when you really need to. Good luck!

I actually have many more kidsolo :) I’ll be writing about some on here and I’ll put some in a great Facebook marketing tip guide, hopefully releasing within the next couple months. Keep checking back, thanks!

    Great tip!

I’m currently having problems using the Message All Guests feature for an event I admin. I hit Send and it returns me to the input screen once again, just with the hard-Returns changed to ’s. Whether I take them out or not, hitting Send doesn’t do jack. It’s a loop. Tried IE, Firefox, it doesn’t matter. Also tried messaging different groups (All, Accepted, Maybe)… nope.

I’m frustrated! Any ideas, or can anyone else duplicate this problem? Thanks!

Hey Steve and Ryan, that’s a strange problem you guys are having - I haven’t ever experienced it while using the technique. Are you guys still having the problem? If so, try messaging the group from another computer/ip address. If that doesn’t work, make one of your friends an admin also and test it through their account. Basically, the idea is to narrow down the possibilities of what is wrong.
