MySpace Bot Programs - Profile Deletion

08.24.07 | Comment?

Thinking about using Myspace bot programs for your band or business’ profile? You should probably read this!

Bots can be a very useful tool for marketing with MySpace, but they can also get you deleted and destroy your band…

My sister-in-law’s boyfriend was in a grunge/alternative rock band called “Reason.” In May he said they had just over 14,000 friends on Myspace after being on there for a couple years. Now, that isn’t much compared to some bands I used to work with, but not bad considering they never requested anyone to be their friend – these were all people requesting them. Anyways, they started using bots in May, not excessively, but apparently it was enough to get them deleted. They were up to about 19,000 friends near the end of June when they got deleted and lost everyone! Luckily, they weren’t touring or taking it too seriously, but that pretty much ended what they had going there.

I know what you guys are thinking, why didn’t I tell them how to use bots the correct way? I’ve been using bots since they came out, but I just wasn’t that close to this band and didn’t know what they had going.

Well, like I said, bot and adder programs still can be useful, but there are certain things that MySpace can track easily and other things they really don’t care about. Another big problem is companies like Legal Adder telling users that their bot can be used as much as they want and they’ll never get deleted. That’s bull! Even Michelle MacPhearson, owner of Badder Adder (a popular friend adder bot that went down) agrees, and she actually owned an adder bot (I’m pretty sure she would know).

One of the problems is that MySpace is tightening up their security because of all the spammers. They’re not necessarily targeting the bands that use the bots, but bands still end up getting deleted because a lot of the detection is automated. Usually I open up my inbox for my accounts and see 5 new messages or friend requests, each with one of those X profiles pictures saying “this account has been deleted.”

Fortunately, there are good ways to use bot programs and not get deleted, but most bands really don’t know how (the bot programs don’t teach you this). Over the past year in my scouring for and testing information, I’ve compiled some great information on how to use bots without getting deleted and am finally releasing it. Not only how to use bots, but what the actual most effective ways are to use them and to market on MySpace – basically, it’s like gold to a band.

Since I know all bands are cheap as hell, I’ve made it super cheap so don’t whine! If you haven’t bought or used a bot, or even if you have been, I really recommend you read through this information and I’ll break it down why…

  1. You’ve purchase a bot - 20.00 - 100.00
  2. You spend in a few months, let’s say 100 hours of your time promoting at 5.00 an hour (hopefully you’re worth that much)
  3. At this point, you’ve actually put in about 500.00 into your profile (crazy huh?)
  4. You get my eBook on making yourself more efficient and avoiding deletion, a whopping 6.95!
  5. And now you got insurance and lot better clue of what the heck you’re doing!

If you don’t find a lot of useful material in it, let me know, and I’ll refund your lunch money. It’s 74 pages long though so I highly doubt you’ll know most of the stuff in here. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, I will grant you access to our marketing forums too!

Enough said already, get reading and get promoting!

For those of you who can’t stand to read off the computer monitor, I’ve even made a special hard copy available for you here so you don’t have to buy expensive ink cartridges and waste paper printing the ebook out!

Oh, and if you still haven’t purchased a MySpace bot yet, I recommend using Friend Blaster Pro. The only reason is because it’s one of the only bots still updating its software and all the professionals use it. They used to use Space Station and Adder Robot (AR), but both of those went down and people have really mixed results now with the lack of updates. I wouldn’t use any bot without updates or that went down – MySpace legally pressured the owners into giving them the code… meaning you could be screwing yourself using one of those.

Also, wanted to share a quick review Benny Bardot sent me the other day on the eBook:

This is a no fluff book on myspace marketing. Every page is important and I gleaned information I never knew before. The promotion techniques were thoroughly explained. For me it’s been money well spent.

Feel free to send me a review also if you’d like or ask me any questions! cs(at)nickjag(dot)com
